“ClouD” is an interactive installation that was built in response to the growing concern of air quality in China resulted from the country’s urban and industrial development.
A webcam tracks user activity in front of the projection. The more active the participants are, the darker the cloud would be. If participants' activities continue, factories and urban constructions would appear on the grassland and eventually replace what used to be a natural scene.
The work was showcased at Shanghai International Science & Art Exhibition in 2013 and received the “Award for Outstanding Works of Science and Art”.
